Bristol: The Blitz and the City We Lost
This is our new iPhone app, which is available on the app store. Once again it takes you back in time, and this time it is more like a traditional audio tour, but using archive photos and film from the Bristol Record Office.
This app gives you info on what old Bristol was like before the arrival of Hitler's Luftwaffe, and the effect the Blitz had on the old city, through an audio commentary, and using archive photos and film.

There are two ways of accessing the content within the app: either browse it on your phone*, or walk it as a tour in Bristol. The tour uses the phone's GPS to play the right audio clips, and show the right archive images and films in the right places as you walk around Bristol's old city. It's a leisurely walk, which takes 50-60 minutes.
